Admissions

Welcome Prospective Student!

Prospective graduate students may follow step-by-step instructions for application to the specific program of interest as well as view information for advising and financial support in the links below. We encourage prospective Master’s students as well as Ph.D. students to peruse the list of faculty to identify potential mentors and to contact specific faculty to explore similarity in research interests and potential openings for graduate students within specific laboratories.

While the online application for admission will allow you to submit up to 6 potential research mentors, if found admissible your application will be circulated to the first three mentors identified in the list. It is expected that Ph.D. applicants will have identified one research mentor, and have communicated with them prior to completing the application for admission. Animal Biology Graduate Group has a priority deadline of December 1st- your application will be reviewed with priority for admission and potential fellowships. The general deadline is January 15th and space available deadline is May 1st-this is usually for situations where space becomes available after the initial review process.
